This artistic endeavor centers around the poignant theme of youth suicide within the context of Vietnam. The role of the concept art within this project entails the vivid portrayal of the physical setting wherein a tragic suicide incident unfolded on June 2, 2022, within the confines of the Linh Dam apartment building situated in Hanoi. This disheartening event garnered significant public attention due to the unfortunate demise of a 16-year-old adolescent, a heart-wrenching incident that was captured by domestic surveillance cameras and swiftly disseminated alongside the young individual's poignant suicide note, outlining the pressures of academic pursuits as the catalyst.
Personally, resonating with the narrative due to having personally endured substantial parental pressures concerning scholastic matters, I find myself deeply empathizing with and profoundly affected by this narrative. My artistic intent with the concept art piece revolves around the depiction of a somber milieu, pervaded by an atmosphere of desolation, effectively illustrating a domicile marred by unsettling elements of horror and distress, symbolizing the emotional rupture inflicted upon the notion of home.
